LED power supply description
An LED driver is a specialized power supply that regulates the flow of electricity to power LED lights.
It converts the standard AC voltage from the electrical grid (Like 120V or 220V ) to the appropriate DC voltage (e.g., 12V or 24V) and current required by the LEDs.
This ensures the LEDs receive the correct amount of power to operate efficiently and safely, preventing damage from overvoltage or undervoltage.
Key Functions of an LED Driver:
1.Voltage Conversion:
LED drivers convert the input AC voltage to the specific DC voltage needed by the LEDs.
2.Current Regulation:
They regulate the current flow to the LEDs, ensuring they receive the correct amount for optimal performance and preventing damage.
3.Overvoltage/Undervoltage Protection:
LED drivers protect the LEDs from potentially damaging voltage fluctuations in the electrical grid.
